Prince Charles adjusts his helmet as he sits in the cockpit of Royal Naval helicopter at the Royal Naval Air Station at Yeovilton, in Somerset, where he recently passed as a helicopter pilot. The Prince is to continue his course at Yeovilton and later on will be given experience in the commando support role. For this he will join 845 Naval Air Squadron specialising in commando support roles, and the squadron will be embarked in the commando ship HMS Hermes

The Prince showed the reputation as a comedian he established in the revue last year, when one sketch found him inhabiting a dustbin, has been enhanced. The Prince made one brief reference to his future in the Navy. "The Naval review at Portsmouth will be warm and sunny, and so there will be no cold navels", he quipped. Sun Dance Camp, Alberta. Prince Charles was made a 'Kainai' Indian Chief the new name bestowed on the Prince was 'Mekastro' or Red Crow. The Prince had his face painted by Medicine Man, Arthur Healy, and this headdress placed on his head. The headdress created a small problem, the wind caught it and it turned inside out a few times before the Prince held it still with his hand. Prince Charles shows his girl to the world. Prince Charles threw Royal traditions to the winds on Sunday and showed off his latest girlfriend. And speculators on the royal marriage market said there was meaning to the move. He had earlier tried to keep his country weekend with banking heiress Sabrina Guinness a secret, although she had been watching him play polo at Cowdray Park, on Friday and Saturday (4 and 5 August 1979). But when the couple returned to watch an evening match on Sunday, Charles decided to 'go public'. He and 24 year old Sabrina mingled with spectators, walked together over the playing area and sat side by side in the public stands. An experienced Royal observer said "I was amazed. It would seem that they are more than just good friends"
