Devonport. Captain Derek Raffell (right) of commando ship HMS Hermes with Lieutenant The Prince of Wales aboard the vessel shortly after the Prince, at the controls of a Wessex helicopter, landed on the ship's flight deck to take up duties today as a member of 845 Squadron. The Prince, who flew from Exeter, came out top in his helicopter flying course at RNAS Yeovilton. He has joined Hermes for advanced training, and is to take part in a series of top level exercises in the western Atlantic, Canada and the Caribbean
