Scope and content

Royal Train Fleet to be Refurbished. An unissued library picture of The Queen's saloon aboard a Royal train. Transport Secretary Nicholas Pidley told MPs this afternoon that around £7,500,000 will be spent in the next four years refurbishing the royal train fleet. Bulletproof windows in particular carriages was an obvious requirement. Most of the existing stock will be used, and some new intercity carriages could also be adapted to the needs of The Queen and her household
