Admiral of the Fleet, Earl Mountbatten of Burma, receives his nephew His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh when he arrived to open the 17th Triennial Conference of British Commonwealth Ex-service League at the Victory Ex-service Club, Seymour Street, London, today. During his opening address Prince Philip said "Those who were writing obituaries about the Commonwealth would be pushing up daisies long before the Commonwealth ceases to exist!"
