Scope and content

The Queen with some of her dogs in a new portrait by Terence Cuneo, commissioned by the Kennel Club, of which she is Patron. The dogs include two Labrador retrievers, Sandringham Harvey and Champion Sherry of Biteabout, one of the Queen's favourite corgis, Windsor Brush, and, centre of the group, a cross-breed called Tinker, offspring of a dachshund sire and a Pembrokeshire Welsh corgi and known in the Royal family as a "Windsor Dorgi". The Queen is shown sitting on a fallen tree by a lake at Frogmore Park and, says the Kennel Club, the informality of the picture is in sharp contrast with the traditional style and setting of Royal Portraits
