Prince Charles and Princess Anne on a see saw

Holiday Fun on a See Saw. Just like any other youngsters, Prince Charles and Princess Anne get the most fun from the simplest playthings. While the Duke of Edinburgh gives motive power with his foot, and the Queen looks on smiling, the children play on a see saw made from a log and a plank at the sawmills they visited on the Balmoral Castle estate, Scotland, where they are on holiday. This informal picture was made today (Sunday) when the Royal family visited the farm and sawmill on the estate. After they had seen logs being sawn the children asked for a see saw. The Duke arranged a plank over the log and the Prince and Princess had their plaything

Many photographs taken over the years have shown Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, in a light-hearted mood. But this set of photographs shows Lieutenant The Prince of Wales in a serious frame of mind, captaining his ship, HMS Bronington during an exercise with other ships of the same First Mine Counter-Measure Squadron in the Firth of Forth. Prince Charles, who will be 28 on 14 November, took command of HMS Bronington on 9 February this year. At sea with Prince Charles on this occasion (25 October) was with his brother, Prince Andrew, 16, who is now at school at Gordonstoun. London. The special licence for the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer is seen 17 June at The Sanctuary, Westminster. The Queen in Council declared her Consent to the marriage March 27, and on the same day issued her Royal Warrant to the Archbishop of Canterbury, directing him to grant his licence for the marriage. On April 16 the Archbishop signed his Fiat directing his faculty office to issue the licence
