Location: Birmingham, West Midlands (county)

Birmingham Lives is a community arts organisation dedicated to celebrating the lives of older people. We work with care homes, day centres, libraries, schools and voluntary sector organisations interested in older people living in Birmingham

Much of our work involves workshops within care homes teaching computer skills, arts and crafts and creative writing. Our work encourages participants to recognise the value of their skills and experiences. Through the workshops and other projects, like AGElink, we seek a greater understanding, integration, and respect of older people within their own local community
