Princess Alice, Dowager Duchess of Gloucester

OPS Her Royal Highness Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester. She was born on 25 December 1901, the third daughter of the 7th Duke of Buccleuch, and married the late Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, in November 1935 (The Duke died in June 1974). They had two sons, Prince William, who was killed in an air crash in August 1972, and Prince Richard, the present Duke of Gloucester
