Prince Charles and bagpipes in play
The Pipe Dream of a Prince. Clowning with bagpipes in these pictures is The Prince of Wales (right) during the sketch "Going for a Quick One", a take-off of "Going for a Song", the television programme on antiques, one of the items in "Quiet Flows the Don", The Dryden Society's Trinity College Revue, which opens in Cambridge tonight (Monday). These pictures were made during yesterday's dress rehearsal. The Prince's views were sought on a set of bagpipes. He picked them up, got himself entangled in them (upper picture), and finally ended up (lower picture) in a threshing heap on the floor. When he came to his feet, he pronounced that the bagpipes must be an "Indigenous Northern reptile", adding "It has been stuffed and they have tidied up the tentacles a bit".
