Duke of Kent to Wed. For three months past the 25 year old Duke of Kent, cousin of the Queen and eighth in succession to the throne, has been engaged to 28 year old Katharine Worsley, daughter of Sir William Worsley, Lord Lieutenant of the North Riding of Yorkshire. The announcement was put off until last night owing to the Queen's absence on her tour of India and Pakistan. The couple first met four years ago when the Duke was with the Royal Scots Greys at Catterick, and the wedding is expected to take place at York Minster in June.
