World-wide Red Cross Day is tomorrow, 8 May and to mark the occasion is this first official photograph of the Princess of Wales in British Red Cross Society uniform. The Princess is the Society's Patron of Youth and her uniform is the only one she wears. During this week, the British Red Cross aims to raise £1 million to finance its services in the UK. 8 May is the birth date of the Red Cross founder, Henry Durant who was born in Geneva, Switzerland in 1828
