Prince Charles laughs with Sabrina Guinness on Sunday, in view of the public gaze
Prince Charles shows his girl to the world. Prince Charles threw Royal traditions to the winds on Sunday and showed off his latest girlfriend. And speculators on the royal marriage market said there was meaning to the move. He had earlier tried to keep his country weekend with banking heiress Sabrina Guinness a secret, although she had been watching him play polo at Cowdray Park, on Friday and Saturday (4 and 5 August 1979). But when the couple returned to watch an evening match on Sunday, Charles decided to 'go public'. He and 24 year old Sabrina mingled with spectators, walked together over the playing area and sat side by side in the public stands. An experienced Royal observer said "I was amazed. It would seem that they are more than just good friends"
