London : On 4 August 1990, the Queen Mother celebrates her 90th birthday. In this library picture she was in her 37th year. It was taken after the Coronation of her husband King George VI on 12 May 1937. As Queen Elizabeth, the former Duchess of York, she is shown with the King [who died on 6 February 1952] and their daughters Princess Elizabeth (centre) who is now Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret

Duke and Duchess of Windsor on their wedding day

The Windsors' House of Memories. A previously unseen wedding day photograph of the late Duke and Duchess of Windsor, one of up to 5,000 family photos found hidden under a wooden cover in the Duke's bath at their mansion in the Bois de Boulogne, Paris. The house is being restored by its owner Mr Mohammed Al-Fayed, who plans to open it up to scholars and historians.
